Eastman Kodak Company Sponsors Photo District Gallery Show with Index Stock Imagery ‘The Essence of Life' Exhibit Opens June 17 in New York City NEW YORK, N.Y., May 4, 2004 – A collaborative effort between Index Stock Imagery, Photo District Gallery and Eastman Kodak Company has resulted in a new photography exhibit opening June 17 in New York City at the Photo District Gallery. Entitled “The Essence of Life,” the show will feature the work of some of Index Stock Imagery's top contributing artists. Index is one of the world's leading stock photography agencies representing 1700 photographers from around the world. The June 17 th opening party will run from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The show will draw ideas from today's modern lifestyle and place them in a conceptual setting. The subjects of the images will range from street people with cultural backgrounds, to natural elements of life, to images that evoke an emotional response from the viewer. Kodak, the world's largest supplier of photographic products, has been a long-time sponsor of fine art photographic talent and will contribute all the paper and products for the show. Photo District Gallery is well known for its quality approach to fine art photography, and supplies imagery for corporate settings, building lobbies, retail spaces, restaurants, hotels and homes. The show will be on display in the gallery from June 17 to July 13. Index Stock markets the work of its contributing artists to advertising, editorial and corporate customers.
