I am a self-taught professional photographer, shooting for more than fifteen years--and I shoot almost
entirely stock work, as I determined a long time ago that marketing takes too much time away from developing film. For the past eight
years I have photographed the wildlife of Kenya and Tanzania, where I take small groups of photographers and wildlife
enthusiasts on safaris that assures we will capture both images and memories that are once in a lifetime experiences. I am a charter member of
The North American Nature Photographers Association (NANPA) and a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP). Working
almost entirely with wild animals. I am at their mercy. I spend many hours with some of the same birds and animals, hoping to find
something new. I have study their behavior and make educated guesses as to what they might do next. My images have been published in
National Geographic World, Newsweek, Better Homes and Gardens, Outdoor Travel and Photography, Backpacker, Animals, National Park
Magazine, and the New York Times to name a few. I plan to continue composing the best wildlife photographs I can,
trying to capture the true essence of each animal. This is becoming especially important as the list of endangered and near extinct
species grows daily. There can never be too many images of the many magnificent animals inhabiting our planet.
