Wild Bill Melton
Wild Bill Melton is part Cowboy, part Indian, and part Cajun. His life
reads like an adventure novel. There is very little he hasn't done---from
being a rodeo cowboy, Cajun chef, oil field worker, diver, welder, world
traveler, dare-devil, premium grade photographer, to being a director of
people. He has still found time to be a very good son. Just ask his Mom,
Della, down in Louisiana. Even she calls him Wild Bill. Wild Bill has
created a very exclusive niche in the world of commercial photography.
He and his crew have the ability to locate and transport just about any
animal, domestic or super exotic, to just about any location on earth and
place these animals in just about any conceivable situation, whether it's a
levitating Leopard in Korea, a person riding a 900 lb. rare Tiger in
Puerto Rico, or a laughing horse wearing lipstick in Hawaii. He works
with the best animal trainers in the world and has worked with some of
the most famous animals on earth. He's photographed the Lion used for
MGM, the Tiger used for Exxon, the Cherry pie eating Bear for a plastic
wrap company, and the Konica copier Lion as well as the Lion for Dreyfus.
Recently he worked with a crew of about 20
people to produce an image of a live bear lounging in a pink clawfoot tub in
the woods. He has even convinced a mother to let her 2 year old son have his
picture taken holding a young bear cub (this is the opening page on Wild Bill's
'97 Black Book spread). Wild Bill is fun, and funny. His clients use him repeatedly
to travel and produce annual reports, corporate image campaigns, and even college
view books. Wild has an uncanny ability to work in any environment with any person
from heads of state and industry, to blue collar workers, to prison parolees. He is like
a chameleon and can fit and blend with any situation. A hired gun is what he is. No
matter what the project, if Wild Bill accepts the job it will shine, and ALL participants
WILL have a blast. Otherwise, IT'S JUST NOT
WORTH THE TIME!
