Jeff Shaffer & Dawn Smith, a husband-wife photo team, have specialized
in food, beverage and still life for the past 11 years. They are based
both in Connecticut and New York City, working for a wide variety of
advertising, design, editorial, and publishing clients.
The pair met in college where they were both majoring in photography and
discovered they had more in common than just taking pictures. Following
school they worked in various areas of photography in both Boston and
New York City. It was in New York City where they found the clients that
would help them start their business.
Light and its character are what fascinated both Jeff and Dawn as
beginning photographers and still does today.They seek to capture light
and all its unique qualities in an simple and beautiful manner. Their
interests in food, travel, concepts and still life are reflected in all
their photography.
